The U-600 is the most advanced frame joining machine in the picture framing and woodworking industries. It balances sophistication, performance, and operating flexibility for joining picture frames, door and window frame assemblies.

This machine is ideal for medium type production facilities requiring flexibility for different sized V-Nail fasteners or a common mm size through a patented*, configurable channel feature.

With profile data storage of 5,000 different frames, the operator can easily recall any frame profile either alphabetically, numerically, or using the barcode reading option.

The U-600 now includes a new operating function with its C.A.P.S (Computerized Air Pressure System) feature. See tab below for more details.

Computerized Air Pressure System

Alfamacchine’s U-600 Computerized Air Pressure System (C.A.P.S.) is the latest operating feature for frame joining eliminating the need to making manual air pressure adjustments for the Vertical Clamping Mechanism. The software includes the functionality of applying a soft vertical clamping motion reducing moulding damage with soft materials or delicate finishes.

This new system provides the following production features...

Eliminates the need of making manual air pressure adjustments for Vertical Clamping Mechanism

Maximizes production efficiently with pre-set clamping pressures

Eliminates moulding material damage by controlled vertical clamping pressure

"Soft" vertical clamping option reducing the chance of moulding surface damage with very soft materials or surfaces with gesso or other delicate finishes

To utilize this new feature, the operator stores in the air pressure values needed depending on the moulding hardness for each of the frame profiles stored in memory. By setting a pressure setting into the memory database, programs recalled through the key pad or barcode scanning option automatically sets the clamping air pressure needed.

All new equipment purchases for the U-500 and U-600 now include the C.A.P.S feature and a field retrofit kit, P/N 298390450, is available for upgrading current customer machines looking to use this new operating feature.
